Sex and Politics
This book follows the cultural and political history of female ejaculation elsewhere and in other times. A real dive into the ancient texts of other cultures where female pleasure is meticulously described. Celebrated in ancient China and then in India, female ejaculation is considered as something obvious in sexuality, and in female pleasure. But later ignored by ancient Greece and Rome, it is even firmly condemned in the Middle Ages… It took a long time for female ejaculation to be (re)discovered, described, studied and celebrated by American feminist performers in the 70’s and then by scientists.
What a pleasure to discover millenary texts explaining how a woman reaches orgasm and ejaculation, and that female pleasure is equal to male pleasure! How backward we are compared to the ancient Chinese and Indian civilizations!
I really laughed too, and learned of course, by discovering the performances of the American feminists of the 1970’s practising masturbation in public to share their knowledge about female ejaculation. And I was fascinated by the current debates on the anatomy of the female prostate.
A book that makes you aware, while learning, of the political nature of female pleasure throughout history. Mili
