Nadine Thornhill is a Canadian sex educator who has a PhD in child and adolescent sexuality. She runs a Youtube channel on sex education for young people but also for parents and teachers.
She makes videos where she answers questions such as: What if my kids walk in on me having sex? Should you let your teen have sex at home?
She also presents pedagogical tools to discuss with teenagers and evoke subjects such as prejudices on sex or the question of consent. Among other things, she has produced the web series Every Body Curious for young people (ages 9-12): open and honest discussions about sexuality, bodies and relationships.
Nadine Thornhill’s approach is joyful, positive and assertive. She answers questions that make many parents and teenagers uncomfortable. She suggests concrete tools and formulations that can be used in “real” life! To give an example, she insists on the importance of clarifying and elaborating the boundaries – respect for privacy, respect for intimacy – within which the exploration of each person’s sexuality is made possible. As you listen to her, you realize that you too can create safe and taboo-free conversations about sexuality.
